MULTIPLE ATTRIBUTE CARDS (MACS)

Multiple Attribute Cards (MACs) were designed to be a tool to create greater leverage into DOMAIN 3.  They allow insight to student thinking, strengthen participation, provide assessment information and ultimately allow teachers to make responsive teacher moves based on what students are showing them.   In fact many skillful teachers are using MACs to strengthen their teaching expertise in all five components of DOMAIN 3.

BLOOMS CARDS

BLOOM’S QUESTION/VERB CARDS are used in a number of ways in the classroom.  When students understand the importance of deeper thinking questions it opens up another realm of their learning.  They have the opportunity to listen to the questions, ask their own questions, respond individually and within teams.  They realize the importance of better knowing the text and how to apply their learning.

DEPTH OF KNOWLEDGE QUESTION CARDS

For classroom teachers, the more important question is one of practice: how do we create rich environments where all students learn at a high level? One useful tool, Norman Webb's Depth of Knowledge Levels, can help teachers meet that challenge. Depth of Knowledge (DoK) categorizes tasks according to the complexity of thinking required to successfully complete them.
